A sphere is a three-dimensional geometric shape that looks like a ball or
a globe. It is perfectly round and has no corners or edges. Every point on the
surface of a sphere is equidistant from its centre, which is located at the
exact middle of the sphere. The distance from the centre of the sphere to any
point on its surface is called the radius.
👉Formula: V = (4/3)πr³
Where r is the radius of the sphere.
👉Example: If the sphere has a radius of 5 cm, then the volume would be V = (4/3)π(5 cm)³ = 523.6 cubic centimeters.
👉Formula: A = 4πr²
Where r is the radius of the sphere.
👉Example: If the sphere has a radius of 5 cm, then the surface area would be A = 4π(5 cm)² = 314.16 square centimeters.
